Sas smock ww2. Material is a heavy cotton drill which is fairly windproof. It also has rank tabs on front and rear. An iconic piece of military clothing. This is an original British Windproof Camo smock (often advertised as “SAS” camo, though it was used by other British troops as well) This smock was period-fitted with a 1940’s LIGHTNING zipper (a fairly common mod at the time) which looks fantastic and works great. Famously worn by the SAS and other special units in WWII. The camo one was used by all sorts in the winter of '44 -'45 including ATS and infantry soldiers like my dear departed grandfather. . A 1944 dated British camouflage windproof oversmock as worn by SAS troops as well as other British fighting infantry in the latter part of the NW Europe fighting.
